Hi, does anyone have a backup ghost (or other) disk image for a Siemens PCU50, the 566MHz version, XP and Siemens base system version 7.3 with HMI Advanced?
A customers drive has failed and although there are plenty of used PCU50 drives on ebay, none of them have the details of the hardware version they were from, or the system version they are running!
It's on an 840D CNC vertical borer machine, the PCU50 part number is: 6FC5210-0DF23-2AA0
Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Rob,
I think your best bet here is to manually install all components separately, and take a final backup of this.
According to Siemens SIOS for 6FC5210-0DF23-2AA0, you should be able to atleast rebuilt the OS, drivers and the basic SIMUMERIK components.
Do you have the customer specific files? (runtime file, CNC jobs etc).
