Hello,
I would like to replace my DRA1605 output module (faulty, ERR light on) on my M580, can I turn my PLC off without losing the program and data.

The logic remains, but not the actual date of variables, and parameters of PIDs, scalings, etct. But there´s a tool to save an restore it:

If you are going to replace the damage module, you don´t need to change logic, otherwise you must.

And yes, you can turn off the PLC safely, once you have backed up the data.
