[?]: Step 7 works on SINUMERIK 840D

Post by liu2002 » Mon Dec 17, 2007 12:18 am

I'm a new comer and also an graduate.
I've worked for only half a year.
Now i met the question: the machine is based on 840d and i cannot upload the plc program to my pc and i cannot use the step 7 to see the machine's plc backup file.
Step 7 said that you need 840d optional package, what's it?
Maybe the question is silly, but really i don't know.

This optional package is also known as sinumerik hardware for s7.
If you want to upload hardware first install correct version of this package.
After this you can see the sinumerik hardware in s7 project.
What version of the PLC Basic program do you have on this maschine?
(You can check this Diagnostic->service Display->version and on the bootm PLC BP or PLC GP).
When you use operator panel (pcu50) that have connection via btss you should remeber that plc adres is 13 (no 2) from the btss side.

Regards.

Thank you. And i read the "About" of the Step 7 Manager inside the machine. An 840D Add-on is installed. So i found one in the forum. Thought it is for S7 v5.3 sp2, i can use v5.4 with it no problem.
