[?]: Unlock Omron CJ1M password protection

Hi. Iam trying to recover a program for a CJ1M-CPU21 saved in a CF card but the .OBJ file is password protected.
The password seems to be 8 characters long (numbers and/or letters).
I've have tried looking for an 8-characters string at the .OBJ file after opening it with Winhex but failed.
The password must be embbeded in this .OBJ file
but I don't know how to look after it.
Does anybody know how to do it?

PD: I can email the .OBJ program to anyone if required

Hi Everybody!

I had read the topics about unlocking read password protections, but I'm a little bit confused.

My problem is: there is a running SYSMAC C200HE-CPU42 which is read protected. So when I've tried the CX-ONE 7.0 "AutoOnline" function to upload the existing project from CPU, it showed a message, that the "UM" is protected, so it couldn't copy that project. But there was no chance for user to write the right protection code. (Theoretically this code is known.) I saw two links for 1. reading out protecion code and 2. PLC BackUp Tool. With the first I can only get to know about the enabled UM code? Or it disables it too? And the PLC Backup tool can read all data from PLC CPU, when UM read code is activated? And a final important question, when I use any of these programs, PLC CPU goes into stop mode??

Hi Stimpy. I'm not sure but I think you can use Systools 1.5 (password release tool) to unlock Omron Series C password protected PLCs. Here you can download it:

Ok. I checked systool 1.5 (a really great set of utilities for C series Plcs) and the password set reset tool is no longer there. It is included in systool 1.1 which you can download at the same website. Sorry about that. Here's the link:

I can do this,I test a way for find the password from obj file
you must open the obj file with any Hexeditor program and see the password.
for more info you can send to me a mail.

Yes, but if the programmer has prohibited from writing to memory card, you will not be able to view OBJ file.
I think?
If anybody has a better option for password unlock, pls say.

Upload program, if posible, on CF card.
1. Insert the CF card
2. Switch the switch 7 to ON
3. Press MCPWR for 3 seconds
4. When the transfer finishes, LEDs Busy and MCPWR turn off
5. Switch the switch 7 to OFF

Open .obj file in WinHex
You can find password on program - offcet from C8 to CF, password for task D0 to D7, this is clear text.

You mean to say it is possible to retrieve/access the Omron PLC (CJ/CS) Program which is UM Protected through CF Card directly? I'm wondering if it's possible. Enlighten me please. Thank you very much.

I think i tried already bud did not find OBJ file on my memory card and this is because the user prohibited to saving on memory card.
Correct me if i am wrong pls.
