I assume your HMI is MT8071IE and you took a project copy using a usb flash drive, right? There's something strange about this series. Could you take another copy of your HMI on the flash drive and send me all those contents (not just the exob)? It's still going to take a while to figure it out but the more information I have, the better.

After the password was reset, when I try to load file (with no other modification) on the HMI, I get the error that the incompatible project settings. Any ideas? I am using Easybuilder8000. My screen is TK6070IP, but I only see MT6070IP in the System Parameters menu option.

TK6070iP is the chinese series of the HMI. You need to install EB8000 in chinese language and set your computer system locale to chinese also.
You can do that by opening Control Panel>Clock & Region>Change date, time, or number formats>Administrative>Change system locale. Select Chinese Simplified, hit OK and reboot your computer.
After that open EB8000 and the TK series will appear in the list.
