Compact PLC error

Post by sandumon84 » Fri Mar 01, 2019 6:20 pm

HI all,

I am facing a very strange problem at site,, there are two machines with same ip address which we are trying to connect with our scada. In order to avoid the IP conflict we have changed one of the machines and associated devices IP addresses to a different range to isolate the machine. But when we connect both machines in one network one of the running machine will show PLC fault and going to stop mode. Also we tried removing each devices and confirmed that this is happening only when both CPU's are in network. Any suggestions would be very much helpful.

Regards
Sandy

Hi, have you checked the diagnostic buffer in order to know the reason why the plc is going to STOP mode?
This is a very helpful information to understand the problem.

Hi,

I have checked the PLC fault table and could not see any major or minor faults. Also after monitoring the system we found that PLC is going to IO fault because of the festo controller is in fault mode. So whenever we connect both machines in one network either one of the festo controller will goes to fault mode and this makes the trouble.

Both festo CPX controller connected to the machine and we have seperated the IP address.

Sandeep
