[?]: Problem with installing WINCC 7.0 on notebook

Post by Netik » Fri Jun 10, 2011 4:03 am

I have problem with installing WINCC on notebook.
I have no problems with Step 7 (STEP 7 was setuped in PCS7.1).

I deinstall simatic components with wincc, and install again, but problems remains.
WinCCExplorer.exe give error in aplication.
Looks like error in memory, but testing memory not give any error with RAM.
Where can be a problem?
Notebook was with preinstalled Win7, but for simatic I install XP Pro.

Strange you were able to install XP on Win7 laptop. I tried it with my ASUS M50Vn, and ti failed. I believe Win XP can not run on your laptop.

I coudn`t setup XP by myself (My notebook is HP Pavilion DV7),
I couldn`t find driver for XP on official HP site. Most like in notebook 17" matrix on it.

I setup only XP that has AHCI abilities, and find specialist who helps with
drivers assembly for this type of hardware. (from chipsets to all others).

I check capability with WinCC - problem stayed the same.
But I can work with CFC, and STEP 7.

So, I have XP already running on my laptop.
