Beckhoff Win XP embedded for CX1000 IPC:

This is a backup file from my compactflash.
I use Acronis True Image to create this backup because it is a good software and it´s easy to restore. I use compactflash PCI card on my computer to create and restore images.

that image doesn't work ... i have a cx1001-0120

your image should work with my cx or ???

i'll get "a disk read error occured" on startup

could ntfs be the problem ?

stricky this image is for cx1001-0120.
Tell me how do you restore this image to your compact flash!

You nead to restore the MBR too, if not you have that error.

P.S.: you can´t use normal USB compactflash reader to restore this image...

hi again,

i've tested this afternoon with cf - pcmcia adapter in my laptop ... that should work normally or ?

but the result was the same ...

i used the acronis home V11 for restoring drive and mbr and i get no fault ...

the cf is running in my pc, but not in the cx .. I have no other image for testing!

maybe the cx is broken ?

I always use this image in all my CX1001, I don´t now what is wrong...

but still one problem ... my cx have only 128mb ram and in some cases, the cx is running out of memory

how can i activate the pagefile or is the pagefile not supported ?
i know there i can find the options to activate, but it's not working ..

Write here how do you solve your problem.
It is not safe to disable the virtual memory because you can defect the compactflash, it is more safe for you buy a new compactflash with 1G.
I use compactflash 1G 150x because I make my HMI in visual basic...

i used the acronis file from beckhoff, to restore a new compact flash card ... that works .. then i copied all files, without the system volume information to my cf .. thats it

i think, u used a different cf card and that causes the problems with the mbr ..

but it works and i'm happy thx

now to the pagefile ... sorry but i don't understand what u mean ?

the pagefile was standard disabeld and i can't enbale the pagefile ? Is my cf to slow ? It's a 4GB 120x from transcend ...
