DCS connection to sub-system communication problem

Hi guys,

I need your help.

We often encounter problems where we need to restart the connection of our DCS in order to restore the connection of our sub-systems. I don't think this is the proper solution to this problem. Connections should not be restarted every time a failure in communication is active. What could be the cause of the problem?We are using Modbus protocol. The subsystem usually use a converter a MOXA then convert to fiber-optic single mode. Then at the receive end we use a OSD370N fiber optic converter to Ethernet and then go to a MOXA EDS 316 finally to our controller.

Is there a possibility that the connection in this hubs and converters jammed or affected the transmission?
