800xA Device library,about import FF,PA,hart Device description(shortDD) file?



How to import 800xA device description file?800xA online manual said:firstly,download exe or zip file of FF,PA,Hart DD from solutionbank.abb.com .But even if log in this web, "download" is not enabled.

------Following is how to download DD file said by 800xA online manual.-----

Use the Device Library Wizard to extract the device type files on the system nodes.
800xA System DVD 2
The device types available at point of time this 800xA system version has been released are stored on the second delivered system DVD. The device type files are separated in the specific folders related to the fieldbus protocol.
Download from the ABB Solutionsbank

1. Login to ABB Solutionsbank, http://solutionsbank.abb.com

2. Open Download Bank > Download Bank Explorer

3. Browse to

? Control Products and Systems / 800xA / Device Management - FOUNDATION Fieldbus / Device Library - <category>
for FOUNDATION Fieldbus device types or

? Control Products and Systems / 800xA / Device Management -
HART / Device Library - <category>
for HART device types or

? Control Products and Systems / 800xA / Device Management - PROFIBUS / Device Library - <category>
for PROFIBUS device types

Through instrument index of ABB web,download zipped file of PA and Hart DD,zipped file can be extracted by ABB device library.But the zipped file of FF DD cannot be extracted, when extract it, come up a tip means the FF DD file is invalid, but I don't think the FF DD file is damaged,so I want know why?

Try to add library manually:

1. Load all required system extensions with Configuration Wizard -> System Administration -> System Extension Load.
2. Unpack library with Winrar.
3. Copy whole unpacked folder to C:\Program Files\ABB Industrial IT\Engineer IT\ABB Device Integration Library\FF Device Integration Library.
4. Use ABB Device Library Wizard -> Device Type Administration to load .afw file to the 800xA system.

Remark to the pervious post: the folder name may be a different. It depends on the device communication standard: Profibus, FF or HART (in the example above - folder for the devices connected via FF).

I use 800xA SV5.0.2, that's why.
For 800xA SV5.0.1 choose Select System. In the next window select type of supported system and click Next.
After system is selected you click Install Device Types, choose protocol (Profibus, FF or HART) and in the list of available devices you'll see device which has been copied to C:\Program Files\ABB Industrial IT\Engineer IT\ABB Device Integration Library\FF Device Integration Library

The device list is null,even if I have copyed DD/GSD/EDD file to the following folder
C:\Program Files\ABB Industrial IT\Engineer IT\ABB Device Integration Library\FF/Profibus/Hart Device Integration Library.
So I want to get your idea?

As the official net is not support upload,so now I attach the screenshots.

These files does not appear to be a 800xA device object types.
Device types (to be controlled by AC 800M, Asset Monitoring environment or Freelance) in 800xA must have at least one .afw file in"import" folder and xml-descriptor.

In ABB's solutionbank device types for 800xA can be selected from the Download Explorer-> Control Products & Systems -> 800xA -> Device Management HART/Profibus/Foundation Fieldbus/ IEC 61850.
The GSD/FFO (in your archive) files are usually used for the device settings description when programming PLC or communication modules, not an 800xA aspects.
