[?+]: 800xA System Graphic element deploy?

Hai,

I am using 800xA system and simulator for developing and simulating 10 MW power plant for my thesis.

In Aspects the inherted column graphic builder, graphic element etc are showing false except object icon. when i tried to edit graphic element, VB window is opening.
But i couldnt able to cofigure and deploy graphic aspects.
I am getting error:

The requested graphic element is not deployed.

If any one have any suggestion please post your comments will be helpful for me.

Is your graphic element belongs to some library? If yes - check the library state. Make sure the library state is Open.

In plant explorer workplace, I was trying to edit the storage tank in graphic element. When i click edit, VB window is opening but the storage tank image is not there. I was trying to learn as per the example given in the help menu.
Please can you give me some examples like how to built a boiler, motor ects. Will be helpful for me.

Probably you met an aspect wrapper component: if you see an empty rectangle in VB - it is the link to parental component, not to the tank itself. Checkout properties in this case.
I have one demo project for Compact HMI 800 v4.1 (limited version of 800xA): Boiler station. There are tank, pump, etc.
I will try to adapt it to the 800xA SV5.0 and send to you after.

The follow 800xA components require to be installed before restore (marked with translucent blue rectangle):


Manual maintenance:
1. Expand Control Structure in the Plant Explorer. Select Control Network -> OPC Data Soure Definition -> New -> Add.Choose OPCDA_Provider_YourNodeName and click OK. Then on bottom click Apply.
2. Open and start SoftController. Start - means click Start button.
3. Open OPC Control Panel.
4. Do as shown on image below (IP address may be different) for both - Data Access and Alarm and Event tabs:


5. Open Control Builder. Go to File -> Open Project-> DemoProject. Set SoftController system identity (IP) same as done at the 3rd step for OPC (see picture below):

Download project to the softcontroller.

I couldnt able to figure out how to access the backup of th boiler station in the plant explorer. Can you elaborate how to do it, will be helpful for me.

I was trying to design motor in plant explorer



when i try to edit it, i am getting the message




if i click dont sent and try to edit again, i am getting VB window like this, not getting the actual motor design in VB.





Please let me know if you have any suggestion how to rectify this problem.

To install boiler:

1. Backup your existing system (MySystem)
Go to maintenance structure, rightclick on Backup definitions object choose New Object -> Full backup definition.

Select Aspect Directory backup on the Scope tab. Click Start Backup button on Summary and Start Backup tab and wait while backup will be created.


2. Delete your system: Open Configuration Wizard -> System Administration -> MySystem -> Systems -> Stop.
Again: Configuration Wizard -> System Administration -> MySystem -> Systems -> Delete.

3. Recover boiler station: Configuration Wizard -> Recover System. Specify path to the unpacked Boiler project and start recover. Preserve existing system name and paths.
During recovery you will get a message that 2 extenisons are not installed (System Instructions and something else): continue anyway (yes to all).

4. Restart node to complete recovery.

In order to recover error you met:

Verify why there's no connection to the system.
It may occur if:
1. IP address has been changed during work
Solution: restart Server (Config.Wizard->Stop Server, again: Config.Wizard->Start Server) after IP address has been changed.

2. One or more afw (aspect framework) services not installed, stopped, running under wrong account or fail to logon.
Solution: use Config.Wizard->System Software and User Settings to set password for all afw services.

3. Firewall is active.
Solution: Disable firewall.

I have checked collection and backup: unfortunately, boiler project (for 800xA) wasn't saved

If only Sam still have that archive...
