Control Schneider Sepam S40 via Modbus RTU

Post by dimovqq » Wed Nov 09, 2016 11:21 am

Hello,
I have the following problem: when I send TC1 Tripping (command bit for activating tripping) binary output O1 does not close and nothing happens. In the manual for the S40 is written that this is possible. I am successfully switching setting groups and resetting, so I don't think this is communication problem. I tried two ways - with S7 1200 PLC and with KEPServerEX V5. Could You help me, please?
This is link to the manual: http://powerlogic.com/literature/63230-216-219-B1.pdf
Best regards!

Hmm, did you try to connect to Sepam via app Sepam SFT2841? This is application for configuring Sepam - there you can configure you outputs. I think, that in configuration TC1 not connected to O1. Try this.

Yes, I am using SFT2841 but I don't think TCs can be configured to triger outputs, LEDs or something else. I think that they are meant to do a specific action and nothing more. On page 117 from the manual there is block diagram, which explains on which conditions binary output O1 should be triggered. Also all TCs (remote orders) can be inhibited except TC1 (Tripping).

I found a solution. In order to use TC1 and TC2 "Circuit breaker control" function have to be activated.
Thanks for the help!
Best regards!
