how to add a resistor in an industrial electrical box

Hello,
I'm doing a project in which I need to put a resistor to protect the input of a servo motor (that's what the datasheet asks)
I want to know how to do it properly (not just solder it),but I can't find any product on the web which do that
Do you have an idea/a specific name that I could search ?

It's easy to do. But i need to see the electrical diagram or technical specification.
