3RW44 - strange behaviour after error

Post by Homeroid_BL » Wed Feb 24, 2016 4:07 pm

Hi all!

I got 3RW44 wired to drive a pump (soft stop, line contactor is used). IN1=ON, IN2=Trip reset. OUT1=ON_TIME (controls line contactor).

In normal work, on IN1, OUT1 is ON, line contactor is ON, pump has soft start, then bypass..). When IN1 is OFF, line contactor is still ON untill pump soft stop is over. Works fine.

And, when mains power is OFF (L1-L2-L3 is OFF due to a mains failure), during a bypassed operation, I got error "NO MAINS" when mains is ON again (when mains is ON againd, IN1 and IN2 are OFF). This is OK too.

But, I CAN NOT reset this error using IN2 (configured as Trip Reset Input). I must follow procedure (described bellow) to manualy reser this error.

This is not good since system works in distant area with no operater/crew around.

How to reset automaticaly this error??

Thanks.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Manual reset procedure (but I need automatic reset):

Failure appears:
Press "ESC"
Press "OK"
Menu "Motor control"
Select "Motor control via keys"
Select "Key control activate?" -> "accept"

The failure message will appear after a short time
Press "Accept"

After that, the key control has to be deactivated:
Press "ESC"
Press "OK"
Select "Key control deactivate?" -> "accept"

by default in4 configured as Trip reset. it looks like you have in2 and in4 configured as trip reset. if my assumption correct then following quote from manual explains your problem
Notice
If the same action is assigned to two different inputs, both
of the inputs must also be operated in order to carry out
the selected function (e.g. to obtain logical "AND" linking
for a start command, assign the "Motor right PS1"
function to both input 1 and 2. A start command is only
accepted if both inputs are active).
so if i am not mistaken you need to set in4 to "no action"

Thanks, almaz78; I believe that's the case; I an quite sure that IN4 remained unchanged during setup so I have two "Trip reset" inputs now while LC cotrols only one.
Must dirive to location to change setting or put wire between IN2-IN4 theese days. You will be notified about resluts.
Best regard!
