Hi, (nuser)

I'm looking for a presence sensor that detects only human. Is this possible? Is there?

Greetings. (tyou)

You could try to detect some of the following:
Motion - by motion sensors, such as PIR
Heat - by temperature sensors
CO2 - by CO2 senosrs
Humanoid shape - by some cameras and computer vision software
Face Recognition - by some cameras and computer vision software

If you can just to rely on human height, you could use any beam sensor positioned adequatly high.

Best Regards

So far that's what I knew.
My question was if there is something I do not know.

Thank you very much. (tyou)

Just UP, you need CV solution, with machine learning, etc
Some extra solutions are - rf signal analisys, ex. wifi, you should know config of room to calculate reflections

may be you should contact MIT to ask to share their experience
Or may be sonic solution based on room analisys.
It should be complex soludion with some DSP code if you need real-time.
There is no genetic sensors yet )
