i want to know if i can how my scada programs will work using a s7 300 simulator or any generla plc simulator that can establish a connection to the iFix software,
is there a plc simulator provided to try iFix programs ?

you can work but first you have to run the simulation (s7300) and then open the ifix.be carefull what adress you give.check the mission controll or pmon to see the results (no data or com problems).

do you mean the plcsim simulator that comes with step-7 ?
ive heard that it cannot establish a communication with a scada software if its not made by SIMATIC, true?

no it is not true.you can make at least with ifix and fix32 just take a look
from my computer.
