Кейгену нужен MS Framework v1.1 и выше (писал на c#)
Что показалось не обычным сразу:
- Непонятный дизайн скады. Написать проект без документации методом тыка практически не возможно.
Например, в plantviewере в меню можно попасть только нажав F12 (попробуй догадаться что оно вообще там есть), что впрочем описано в документации.
- OPC серверы для сименса имеют непонятные настройки.
Такое ощущенье, что можно смотреть только данные DB-блоков. Однако это наверняка не так (хочется думать что итальянцы умнее).
Но сервер для OMRON например имеет вполне понятные настройки и нормальную диагностику.
Проверял работу именно на нем - замечаний нет, вполне приличный OPC-сервер.
Для сименса OPC работают используя библиотеки от Prodave и SIMATIC NET, что тоже не есть гут.
Возможные плюсы (почему собственно и выложил ссылки на эти продукты)
+ малый размер скады (но это для этой версии. Версия 3 идет уже на компашке и скачать ее нельзя, а только (бесплатно?) заказать по почте)
+ вполне профессиональные OPC-серверы
+ возможность создания вполне профессионального проекта (судя по приведенному демо-проекту)
А вообще итальянцы большие любители использовать собственные наработки и вполне могут любому с оборудованием поставить это чудо.
Ведь цены не сопоставимые с WinCC.

Может и пригодятся кому-нибудь эти продукты, а может даже и понравятся.
Жалко только что Plant View в версии Lite.
Когда разобрался мне понравился Report Generator: работает с любыми OPC, достаточно надежен и прост.
Не даром стоит дороже всех прочих продуктов.
Но опять таки надо внимательно читать документацию, которая не совсем удобно сделана.
Не в виде шагов поэтапного создания нового проекта, а в виде расписаных менюшек.
Удивил способ вставки тэгов в поле отображения: сначала вставляем просто любой текст, выделяем его, далее в меню Dynamic/Numeric Field выбираем из списка ранее выбранных тэгов в меню Tools/Browser Server нужный.
Но это не повод сразу ругать эту программу. Ведь интерфейс продуктов Adobe тоже простым и понятным не назовешь, а тем не менее это лучшие продукты в своей области.
В общем внимательно читаем документацию и пробуем...
