Hi,
is it possible to test 2094-BC07-M05-S (or similar) whether it powers on without mounting it on power rail? Should any LED or seven segment display light up when control power is connected? I would like to know whether I have dead unit or whether I have to buy power rail to test it.

thanks for your reply. I already checked it and I know one have to install the unit on the power rail and one have to occupy all connectors on the rail. I just wanted to know if there is any hack to power the unit on without the rail and if the unit should display anything when control power is connected to it and when it is not installed on the power rail.
Anyway I'm buying the power rail.....
