rslogix 5000 20.01 emulate compatible with rslogix 5000 20.0

Post by Hisma » Mon Jan 07, 2013 1:10 pm

Hello

I am curious if rslogix 5000 emulate 20.01 is compatible with rslogix 5000 20.00.

I am able to create the driver in rslinx, and create the emulated controller and IO card. But if I try to go online, I get the error "unkown application framework subsystem error".

Help file says the software is incompatible. However, I can see the IO controller in RSWho.

Anyone know if it's possible to go online with a controller in rslogix 5000 20.00 using rsemulate 20.01?

thanks!

yes same here!
Anyone can help on this?
Is this a version problem (RS5000 20.00 and RS5000Emulate 20.01) or simply a bad RS5000Emulate setup?

Can you go online with a real PLC?
I have done it with bad installation. Somewhere in the forum there is link to RSL5k without RSLinx, and I have skipped the instalation of a couple of libraries during install.
After I made a new installation of RSL5K, and browsed the route to RSLinx folder when Iwas asked to, I have no problem with Emulate.
