I installed RS LOGIX 5000 V.19 from this forum, it's already working, im very thankful for it, but I need help with the activation mode.

Is already installed and is running the demo version of it, how can I activate it?

I also could use some help.

I have tried the Hex-editing method using HxD with no luck.

I would try the Hardware key (VFD or Private Disk) but I cannot get VFD to start on windows 7 or 8, 64 bit (Failed to start the VFD driver, This driver has been blocked from loading). And with private Disk I can no longer find an active source to download AB-33333.

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys,
if you go back to page 4 and download RAR crack (and a big thank you to to genius who worked this out. More than likely "Peterg 70", if it is someone else, thanks to you), which has the .dll,s
which will activate RSLogix5000 V20, RSlinx, Plantpax, RSlogix500 and without having to change Hex files. This way of activating DOES WORK.
After installing RSLogix5000 V20 and FTV activation V3.40, you need to put your computer into safe mode, by restarting windows and hit F8 key? dependent on Op system and tap down and highlight "start in safe mode" in the Dos start up.

(1) Factory Talk
Activation V3.40,
Delete file," ftasystem.lic" found in the activations folder.... C:\Users\Public\Documents\Rockwell Automation\Activations,

and replace in same location folder with a copy of "ftasystem.lic" file in RAR

(2) Delete file, "flexsvr" ..found in ..C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\FactoryTalk Activation,

and replace with a copy of "flexsve" (application) dated 15/12/2011 found in RAR.

(3) RSlogix5000. Delete File, "rsl5kcp.dll" .....found in ..C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 5000\ENU\v20\Bin, and replace with a copy of

" rsl5kcp.dll" dated 15/12/2011 found in RAR

(4) RSlinx Delete File, "RSwd32.dll"......found in ..C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSLinx, and replace with a copy of "RSwd32.dll" dated 14/12/2011 found in RAR

(5) Plantpax Delete file, "RSPPMB32.dll"...found in....C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\PlantPAx ModelBuilder\bin, and replace with a copy of "RSPPMB32.dll" dated

27/12/2011 found in RAR

(6) RSlogix500 V7.3 Delete file, "RSwl032.dll" ..... found in...C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 500 English, and replace with a copy of "RSwl032.dll"

dated 15/12/2011in RAR

The other files in RAR crack are copy's of same file pre Hex file changes and mean nothing.

This method does work and if you have trouble activating you are not following the above procedure.

I was able to get everything activated that I wanted with another method.

I am just trying to get RSlogix5000 emulate v20.01 to work now. I hex edited the correct file bit no activation.

Any ideas

Hi BigJG, RE Emulator, download Softlogix 5800 V20, which has the added advantage of networking abilities l believe, otherwise the same as RSLogix 5000 Emulator.

MAKE SURE IN SAFE MODE, OR TURN OFF ALL SERVICES USED BY ROCKWELL

Hex Edit file RSSL5K32.dll (C/program files 86/rockwell automation/softlogix5800/RSSL5K32.dll) on FC330/09+0A address replace 34 02 to 30 90, then save

Then add paragraph below to ftasystem license file, found here C:\Users\Public\Documents\Rockwell Automation\Activations

Thank you for the response I added the code you said to add and edited the file and changed the numbers with a hex editor but get "Failed to activate softlogix5000:no activation available. etc" when I try to launch it.

Any ideas?

Alrighty... just got mine activated. I run a Windows XP SP3 32 bits on a VirtualBox. I recommend you do the same, since most of the program is 16bits.

Here is what you do:

1) If you have already modified the files and couldn't get it activated, uninstall and reinstall everything: RSlogix5000, Online Books, Activators etc... there are 5 programs you need to uninstall.

2) Reinstall.

3) Download a Hex Editor if you don't have one. I use HexEdit.

3) Go to 'Start>Run...' and type "services.msc". Find FactoryTalk Activation Service, 'right click>stop'.

4) Go to 'C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\FactoryTalk Activation' open 'flexsvr.exe' on HexEdit. Search for "55 8B EC 83 E4 F8 81 EC" on Address D150. Really important that you find this exact line. Change it to "33 C0 40 89 45 FC 48 C3". Make sure that the previous value is erased. Save it. If cannot save, go back to 3).

5) Search for "rsl5kcp.dll". Found mine at "C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 5000\ENU\v19\Bin". Open it with HexEdit. Search for 34 02. You MUST find it at Address FBD19. Change it to 30 90. Save it.

6) Find "ftasystem" in your Activations folder. Mine was at "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Rockwell Automation\Activations". "Right Click>Properties" untick Read Only. Click OK. Double click and add the following:

FEATURE RS5K_700.exe flexsvr 1.0 permanent 10 VENDOR_STRING=9999999 \

6) At "services.msc" Find FactoryTalk Activation Service, 'right click>start'. Find FactoryTalk Activation Manager, go to advanced, click refresh. It will turn yellow, then green, if you did everything right. Go to Manage Activations and click Refresh Activations.
You must see RS5k_700.exe at Available Activations.

7) Start RSLogix 5000 v19 and see if it worked.

Hello All,
I need to use softlogix 5800 v20, I have installed but stuck at activation.
I have tried a lot of times with Hex editing RSSL5K32.dll but still unable to get softlogix activated.
It would be a great help for me if anyone can upload patched RSSL5K32.dll file and ftasystem.lic.

In the factory, three versions of the controllers . Installed three versions . All versions (V21, V20, V19) are now working

Hello all, I just joined and this is my first post so I would like to say hi to everyone first. I am in the process of just starting out trying to learn about plc programming. I just downloaded RSLogix 5000 v20.04. I have it installed but I need info to get it activated. I'm ok with hex editing so I don't mind doing it. I have tried to follow steps on here but they aren't for v20.04 and the rar file links are dead for the already hexed files. So would someone mind giving me a hand or some advice on how to activate the software? Thanks for any help in advance.

Correcto... acabo de hacer la activación del mío. Yo lo corrí en Windows XP SP3 de 32 bits en una máquina virtual. Le recomiendo que haga lo mismo, ya que el programa está hecho mayormente en 16 bits.

Here is what you do:
Lo que usted debe hacer es:

Really important that you find this exact line. Change it to "33 C0 40 89 45 FC 48 C3". Make sure that the previous value is erased. Save it. If cannot save, go back to 3).
4) ir a la carpeta 'C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\FactoryTalk Activation' abrir el archivo 'flexsvr.exe' con HexEdit.
Buscar "55 8B EC 83 E4 F8 81 EC" en la dirección D150. Es realmente importan qué encuentre la línea exacta.
cambiar esta por "33 C0 40 89 45 FC 48 C3".
Asegurese que el valor previo fue borrado. guardar los cambios. Si no puede, repita el paso 3).

5) Search for "rsl5kcp.dll". Found mine at "C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 5000\ENU\v19\Bin". Open it with HexEdit. Search for 34 02. You MUST find it at Address FBD19. Change it to 30 90. Save it.
5) buscar "rsl5kcp.dll". A mi me funciono en "C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 5000\ENU\v19\Bin".
Abra este archivo con HexEdit. busque 34 02. Se encuentra en la dirección FBD19. Cambie el contenido por 30 90. Guardar.

6) Find "ftasystem" in your Activations folder. Mine was at "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Rockwell Automation\Activations". "Right Click>Properties" untick Read Only. Click OK. Double click and add the following:

7) At "services.msc" Find FactoryTalk Activation Service, 'right click>start'. Find FactoryTalk Activation Manager, go to advanced, click refresh. It will turn yellow, then green, if you did everything right. Go to Manage Activations and click Refresh Activations.
You must see RS5k_700.exe at Available Activations.
7) En "services.msc" busque FactoryTalk Activation Service, 'click derecho>start'.
Busque FactoryTalk Activation Manager, vaya a advanced, click en refresh.
Si usted ha echo todo bien, debe pasar de Amarillo a verde.Valla a Manage Activations y haga click en Refresh Activations.
En la parte de activaciones disponibles, usted debe poder ver RS5k_700.exe .

8 ) Start RSLogix 5000 v19 and see if it worked.
Corra RSLogix 5000 v19 y fíjese si todo esto ha funcionado.

@deray88 that information does not seem to work for v20.04 & v29.
It seems Rockwell read these forums?
I have all versions from 19 to 28 working, but v20.04 (FT v3.5) & v29 (FT v4.00) alludes me. I am hoping the brilliant mind that has given us the previous information may be able to assist when time is available to activate these new versions.

Hello. I was looking for Activation of SoftLogix5800 V19 and it has not been published. Can someone supply it to me?

I have this key loaded and it does not take it when executing Soflogix

I have tried to modify the RSSL5K32.dll on FC339 address replace 34 02 to 30 90, but the HEX code is different from the other soft V19 (Logix5K, emulate, etc). Attach DLL of Soflogix V19
