Dear friends
I have a siemens cpu 226 and i want to coonect it to a cpu 414 of siemens with profibus ,
is it possible to connect them without EM277?
I cant find the GSD file for CPU 226, can anyone help me?

connect with profibus without EM277 not posible,
connect on MPI it is possible..

connect with OLD school IO communication always a solution.

Hello

You already understood without Em277 it's not possible to establish Profibus connection. S7-200 can only be profibus slave. If you have EM277 look at How can you communicate data between the S7-200 and the S7-300 via PROFIBUS DP? ( http://support.automation.siemens.com/W ... en/2615830 ). In this link you'll find GSD file for EM277.
Other possibility-connection via MPI, look at http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/747743 , but this type of connection has some restrictions, be careful. :wink:
