Hi

If you read carefully the manual about S5-S7 convertion, you'll see that something from S5 is imposible to convert in S7. And the tool for convertion you can find in START-SIMATIC-STEP7-S5_S7 CON....
And "translation" of programm must doing from men, who know how mashine work.

From Simatic menu

What PLC are you working with? I never heard about simatic CPUs which both support S5 and S7..too different environments (may be you plan to replace whole system I don't know). I don't know about S5 but S7 uploading doesn't support symbolic insertion in DBs (symbol table can be used of course by simple copying)..without symbols only very simple program can be easy read by human being.

Can you give the exact number reference (6es7 xxx-xxxxx-xxxx) of each part of your S7 material: in S7 project, there's not only the program, the exact type of your material is also include, even the power supply.
Then, to translate your project in a valide S7 project, we must have the right references.

It does nor exist PLC accepting S5 AND S7 programs.
If the PLC color is black you MUST use S7; if its light yellow/grey you MUST use S5.
If you want to change the S5 with S7 you can try automatic converting of S5 prog to S7.
Althrough, I am warmly reccomanding you to do it manually.
