Siemens used to have one which would integrate within the S7 Manager, called "S7-VersionStore" which has been discontinued, (I think in 2002 or so).
Even 3rd party ones would be better than nothing like, VersionWorx(Gepasoft) or AutoSave (MDTSoftware)
