That demo works just fine enough.
Only limit as far as i remember is that it does deploy a popup on the beginning of the connection.
It's hard to get started though. Follow the Demos and its built-in AG help software (whatever the name was) which is describing all the functions.
There are also some samples and so on.
Having a history for several applications with aglink i can assure that this software is absolutely powerful enough to fulfill all your needs for a long future to come.
try to convert yourself from vb.net to C# though.
