I currently have a multiproject running on an S7-417H PLC . The multiproject consists of two parts , the AS and the ES . My objective is to take the Acronis Image of the PC currently in service as HMI , consisting of a activated WinCC project and the PCS7 project(offline) , and bring that image online on another backup PC .
I made suitable changes to the ES project (to replace the CP modules in the running PC with IE General based ethernet port on the new PC) .
But as i connect the ethernet cable connected to the PLC to my new PC , no packets are received from the PLC . And thus the WinCC project is unable to fetch any data .
Is this somehow related to an unmatched IP domain between the PLC and the new PC ?
