Hello,
For about 2 weeks I have a problem when I want to open Simatic Manager, and I intend to reinstall Step 7, after reinstallation when first opened, everything is fine after closing and reopening Simatic Manager wish to receive the same error again.
Have you encountered this situation, which may be the cause?
I ran about 3 antivirus can be a virus in windows (McAfee, Avast and Eset).
Error is:
"3280:503 The registry database is not set up correctly for the Simatic Manager. Please reinstall Step7"
Thanks

Are you installing it from DVD or copy from hard disk? Also you can make a new user with administrator' rights, disable antiviruses...like an option write to Siemens Suppport...

I installing to hard disk, i make image .ISO with Step 7 Software, no have possibility connect to administrator, is notebook for work, and access have only my user.
I think problem is not with installation, for after installation first time when open Simatic Manager is ok, but if close Simatic Manager, and try open again give me this error.I try using and Registry Mechanic software, i uninstall Step 7, i clean registry, optimize windows, reinstall Step 7, and after this, when open first time is ok, when i close and try again...error appear.

Here is the solution (it's quite simple).
1 - Click, with the mouse right boton, on the STEP 7 Icon (located on Windows Desktop)
2 - Properties
3 - Compatibilities Tab
4 - Check "Run This Program As An Administrator"
Let me know if it the problem was figured out.
