hi all
we have Holding Tanks and inside material acid i want measurement level in system monitoring please
help me for choice Transmitter
high tank =6m
Pressure inside = 1 bar
1- Wika Tronic S-10
2- Wika Tronic S-11
3- Wika Tronic LH-10 9699703 0-50in WC Level Transmitter Pressure Transducer
4- Wika Tronic LH-10 9699703 0-15 PSI Level Transmitter Pressure Transducer

The problem is how you maintain the pressure at 1Bar ....
Can you use radar level our sonic ?
It´s better...

but I need more information .
what is your material ?
what is the size of tank exactly ?
what is the working pressure of the tank ?

Hi, I would also use Ultrasonics for this application like teixeol2010 has suggested.

If you do have to go for the the WIKA equipment check its suitability on long term immersion in acid, Hasteloy has excellent corrosion resitance but I would choose a plastic encapsulated device every time for acid.

We use a combination of Siemens SITRANS Probe LU and Siemens "The Probe" for our Sulphuric and Nitric storage tanks, these are only rated to 0.5 bar but I would check with Siemens whether this could be made higher?

I know VEGA do the VEGASON range which are rated up to 3 bar, you would need to check whether they are suitable in an environment which may have acid.

Most modern ultrasonic probes are smart and can be programmed with tank dimensions and shapes to give volumetric indication as well as level.

I hope this will help your decision.
