[?]: S7300 error on Ethernet

Post by Josivan » Tue Nov 23, 2010 6:30 pm

Good morning everyone, I have a problem with a CPU CPU315-2PN/DP S7300 model, I use this CPU for testing Ethernet, at home, so I spent some time without using it, only now I was using it and I do not remember the IP I had set last time, I try to enter a new IP atravez the Edit Ethernet Node SIMATIC MANAGER, but it only me the error message saying it has a connection error. Now comes:
I've swapped out several times
I swapped the Swit (Hub) too many times

How can I do to find the IP that is configured on my CPU.

I do not know what to do.
One thing I know, the CPU is not burned, because it was just hidden in my closet at home.

If someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi.

First of all please check that you have chosen right connection in "Set PG\PC Interface" menu. Then you can try to change Net Mask of your Ethernet connection on 255.0.0.0 and push Accessible Nodes button in Simatic Manager. I hope it will show you this device with its IP adress.

Hello Francisco,
*
Reuse of devices

Execute the "Reset to factory settings" before you install a device with retentive IP address parameters / device names in different subnetworks / systems or before you place it in storage.
Assigning IP address parameters and the device name.

You can do Reset to factory settings only if it is possible to connect to PLC somehow. But Francisco can't connect as I understood. If IP adress have been assigned temporary, reset of device could help.

- You can check your router and see the attached devices.
- You can use nmap (nmap.org) and scan your network. Usually you will have the web server running, so check it with your browser.
- Use your MPI cable and upload from the PLC to your computer.

Edit:
- Maybe you can connect to CP using crossover ethernet cable.

Since I reset the CPU several times but did not work, I think the problem is the ethernet port of the CPU.

Does anyone know how to test the Ethernet port on the CPU 315-2 PN / DP?

Thanks

Industrial Ethernet S7-300/400 CPs -- Setting up and parameterizing hardware -- Initializing and parameterizing modules
http://support.automation.siemens.com/W ... n/28812733
At the "Initial Startup" via IE, the controller system is addressed via the MAC address of the CP.
The Ethernet CPs are provided in the works with a unique MAC address, which is printed on the modules and must be entered when configuring the CP.
In the case of addressing via MAC address, you must make sure that S7ONLINE access point is set to "ISO protocol". You do this setting in the SIMATIC Manager:
