Looks like ADAM module doesn't answer or there is a wrong wire connection. I don't know what data you are sending to it. Have you checked the ADAM manual how to construct character frame?

The comm port(s) of S7-22x CPUs can operate in 2 modes: PPI and freeport.
If the port is set-up for freeport communication you can't connect using PPI protocol and MicroWin.
But the good thing is if PLC is in STOP, it automatically switches port to PPI mode, so try to connect when PLC is stopped.
