Re: [?]: SoftPLC - PC based controllers

Thanks, I will take a look at it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I need a standalone Step7 in order to operate (programme) with WINAC RTX? If that is the case, which version would you recommend me for Win7 x64? I only need as lite version as possible since I only need to quickly take a look at WINAC f...

[?]: SoftPLC - PC based controllers

I'm looking for documentation about anything that has to do with PLC which are PC based (possibilites, I/O, comparison to "classic" PLC, connectivity, solutions on market etc.). Since I lack of comprehensive knowledge about PLC, I don't have much idea what I'm actually looking for and Google did not...

WinCC 7.0 expression

I was wondering how could I write up expression for this cases: 1st case: object A changes color this way: when Q0.1 is on 1 AND Q.2 on 0, it's red. When Q0.2 is on 1 AND Q0.1 on 0, it,s green. In all other cases, it stays in current color. 2nd case: object B changes color from red to green as soon ...

[?]: WinCC: Even basic objects don't work

Current state of configuration: PC is connected through PC adapter v5.1 to S7 CPU-400. Program is made with SIMATIC Manager and is working properly. Project: I created new single project with WinCC v7.0 SP3 and added some binary tags under MPI (which is configured to PC adapter(MPI)). Then I opened ...

[?]: WinCC v5.1 migration request

I have two old WinCC projects which were created with WinCC v5.1 I believe. Unfortunately I use version 7.0 so I cannot open them to see how they are done. Could anyone be so kind and do quick migration for me? I don't need all the details just picture in Graphics Editor and connection of tags to el...

[?]: I need help for made simple WinCC project (First steps)

I finished program in Step 7 so I have to visualize it now in WinCC. I already created binary tags (5 digital inputs and 5 digital outputs), but now I'm stuck in Graphics Designer. I've only managed to insert simple switch, which works, but about other indicators and contacts, I have no idea how to ...

Re: Negate output of counter

If we take a look at last network, imagine counter as box with bottles and Q0.5 as indicator for full box.
It should work like this: M0.5 inserts bottle into box.
When box is full, indicator Q0.5 is set to 1 (in all other cases, it's 0).

Re: [?]: Step 7: set initial values on OB100

Why did you put SET to code as well? Here is what I put into OB100 just in case: CLR //=0 = M 1.0 = M 1.2 = M 1.6 = M 2.1 = M 2.2 = Q 0.1 = Q 0.2 = Q 0.3 = Q 0.4 = Q 0.5 But it still won't put them to 0 if I switch CPU from STOP to RUN-P :( . Perhaps I should put something to OB1 as well? Is there a...

[?]: Negate output of counter

I need to negate output of counter down, so output Q0.5 will always be on 0 except when counter itself counts down from 2 to 0, then Q0.5 should be on 1. I tried to solve that with |NOT|, but in that case, output Q0.5 will be on 1 by default, because counter is not initialized by M0.4 before program...

[?]: Step 7: set initial values on OB100

How could I set initial values in Step7 SIMATIC Manager which would run before OB1? I heard that could be done with OB100, so I inserted there: CLR = M 1.0 = M 1.2 = M 1.6 = M 2.1 = M 2.2 But that unfortunately doesn't work. When I switch from STOP to RUN-P mode, nothing gets resetted. Thanks for he...

[?]: No WinCC tags in linking

I defined several binary tags but when I open up Graphics Designer and create an object, there are no tags to assign to it. Here is what I do: I right click on my object -> linking -> tag connection. Then this window opens up and everything is empty under "Places used" and "Find and replace". I can ...

Re: [?]: About keys for WinCC

So I can't use both at once? Then I have very hard time with choosing as I'm complete newbie here and I really have no idea which one is the proper one for me. I just need license, which will allow me to create several tags (under SIMATIC S7 protocol suite -> MPI) which I can use later in Graphics D...

Re: [?]: About keys for WinCC

So I did that and also installed everything what was left in Required, except licenses. Automation License Manager says that everything is licensed now. WinCC also says Licensed, but nothing about how many of them. Is that ok? This is how EKB looks ATM: http://shrani.si/t/24/Uz/2MdGD9qy/ekb.jpg Is t...

Re: [?]: About keys for WinCC

thanks, let me double check if I got it right.
I shouldn't install keys from "Required" but instead I should select everything under "Yellow Disk keyset" -> "WinCC" -> "WinCC v7.0 (2008) basis" and install all long keys?
As far as I see, there is only one RC file here so that should be it? :?

Re: [?]: About keys for WinCC

Dear PLCforum users, I urgently need your help with licensing WinCC V7.0 + SP3+ Upd2. I couldn't find EKB_install in torrent folder, so I used older one which came with Step 7 (Simatic_EKB_Install_2011_05_22). That didn't work either so I tried the newest one I could find (Simatic_EKB_Install_2012_0...

Re: [?]: WinCC compatibility for migrating v5.1 project

So how can I convert 5.1 project to 7.0 SP3 with Windows 7 x64?

What about WinCC v11, is that one even newer?

And which versions of WinCC are compatible with Windows 7 x64? If 5.1 runs fine, I don't see any major reasons to use newer version. Are there big differences between versions?

[?]: WinCC compatibility for migrating v5.1 project

I'm new to PLC's so I really need some basic advices. I've installed "SIEMENS SIMATIC STEP 7 v5.5 SP1 + PLCSIM v5.4 SP5 (x32+x64)" and Step7 works fine (at least I think so :? ). Now I also need WinCC, but I have no idea which version to install. I think the newest one would be the best, but I also ...
